Default I think I made a mistake.

I bought a Burton feather its 148 the sales girl said my size. However I think she under guessed my weight I weigh 185 and I'm 5'6 should I see if I can excahnge it? I have not used it yet but the bindings are mounted.

Um. Definately get a longer board. Hell, take a look at men's board as well, taking into consideration your weight. At 185, you should ideally be riding a 157-160ish...

yeah, you definitely need a longer board. You're not going to have as much success on a 148. Depending on your style, you may want to get a firmer board, too.
