I finally was able to break it down between 2 boards. I really want a legacy but customs are so much cheaper. Is a Legacy really worth like the 200 extra? I have a size 12 boot and weight 190 - 195 ish. If i go Custom would the 157 be OK for me? or is that to short? Any advice would be much appreciated

Most likely will not find a legacy for much less then 450 or so. Most places sold out and sell out of the fairly fast on Never Summer. Check at your local shop they might have one but I highly doubt there are very many left to be had.
If you can find one yes I would jump on a legacy over a burton. That is just my preference but if money is the main issue go with the burton. |

yea i looked everywhere online and the places that actually have it are the same prices as the NS site. Dont have many local shops in my area. Saving 200 bucks for better binding and boots seems like the better route. Would the 157 be ok with my weight? However, If anybody has a better suggestion for that price point please let me know

Don't overlook the 3 year NS warranty as well.
Sometimes it's worth being patient so you can afford what you really want. If you settle, you may regret it. However, you could always hate the Legacy as well, but I doubt it. I'm personally waiting on a 2011 Heritage or a YES! GDOH. Looking like the waist width on the YES! stick is gonna screw me though |

2011 line won't come out until the fall/winter.
Dig a little deeper and you will learn about the Custom... The biggest complaint about the Custom is that it's way over priced. With you getting it on sale, you wouldnt be doing that bad. I am pretty anti Burton as a whole because I disagree with how they manipulate the market, but $300 for a new Custom isn't so bad. I would personally save up and get the Never Summer, but I have hate for Burton. So in all man, $300 isn't bad. My opinion stands that the Legacy is a higher quality stick and the 3 year warranty could really bail you out someday. Remember a warranty starts on the day that you buy the board. So keep your receipts. |
