I need a wide snowboard for park, mostly jibbing and jumps. Im 5'8 215 lbs size 12 boots ( 32 lashed ). I'm probably going to choose between a nitro t1 152w and a ride kink 153w but am open to recommendations. thanks in advance.

{ Revolver-R } Never Summer Boards
In whatever length your diggen on. Revolver will outperform both sticks you've mentioned in every way possible, unless you're wanting a straight up noodle. But you put your weight on a board as short as you're wanting and its going to be a noodle no matter what..... I would recommend not going smaller then a 155 personally but it's all you ( = |

The only problem with that is their is only one place where i can buy a neversummer and its an hour away. Ill go check it out, I hope he has the board. im picking a shorter board than a 155 because I'm going to jib a lot with it and i generally like smaller boards, and between the ride kink and the nitro t1, witch one would you choose? thanks again

You're not wanting a board until next season anyways, right?
You should probably call first before heading to find that NS stick but I'm sure you know that And I'm a fan of the Ride slime walls personally. But Nitro makes some pretty under rated sticks imo... Really either board will be rad between the Kink and T1. I wouldn't buy either of them personally, but if I was I would purchase the Kink. I own a short noodle and it's a 2010 Capita Horrorscope in a 155w and I weigh 2bills. |

The t1 was really lightwegiht and the t1 just seamed more responsive/pop, the ride kink on the other hand has the slimewalls and looks more durable.
what about k2's? Last edited by Fusion; 06-15-2010 at 10:59 PM. |

Ya I personally think it's a pretty close match up between the both when discussing pros and cons.
In a sense you're purchasing a throw away stick so durability isn't at the top of your priorities. With that in mind, I would go with the Nitro.... But if you're like most of us and you live paycheck to paycheck, I would go with the Ride. However, if you want the most bang for your buck, Never Summer will pretty much always win that discussion. You pay more up front but you will be riding it years down the road when you would've already had to purchase something else if you went with another company. I don't know what you main hill is, but does NS have a demo up their? |

From K2 I would look at the Parkstar. Also at your weight if you want a 152ish length you will probably need a stiffer park board. Unless this is strictly a jibstick. Anywhere else on the mountain at that length, with Kink like boards, you probably wont like it all that much. And forget about jumps over 20ft.
I suggest somewhere around 154. I ride a 154 Indoor FK and at 145lbs I can jib it just fine. If these two are your options because of price, I would go with the T1, but I would try and go longer than 152. If you like the Kink more, I would try for a 155w.
