Crisis: Ultrafear or Horrorscope? (2011) HELP!

Hey All,

Serious indecision fit ... should I get the 2011 Ultrafear or the Horrorscope?

Im coming of a Burton custom (reg camber) and looking for an all mountain jibber that can rock in the park, and still allow for butter nuts around the traps as well.

Ive read so many contrasting opinions on these two ... i.e. ultra is just upgraded horror ... tiny bit stiffer (if noticeable at all), or some say ultra is actually softer?, or others say there two completley different boards.

I originally go keen on the ultra cause from initial info it was just better construction (i.e. sintered base, less rattle etc) and limited edition, which sounded sweet!

Cost is no probs,I just want to get the better board (I appreciate this is subjective) but is one a clear winner for all round fun? and assuming im gonna keep the old custom, should I be going as soft as i can? (admittedly im not a total park rat).

Anyone who has good advice or ridden both, id be stoked for some help in deciding.

Thanks again.

Cheers R

As of right now the Ultrafear isn't going to be in the 2011 line, that I know of.

I'm not a fan of what they've done to the Horrorscope FK for 2011 either. I own a 2010 Horrorscope and it's flatter farther out towards the tips and had amazing edge hold for a reverse deck.

My opinion, based upon no Ultrafear at this time, get an Indoor Survival FK if you're going with Capita.

Got a link/proof? I can't seem to find it in their lineup for SIA or in their 2011 catalog...?

Supposedly TJ is riding the new Ultrafear in the Realms video.

I'm not sure what style of FK the new Ultrafear will have, if it is indeed going to be in the line....

The Urban FK isn't going to perform all that great outside the park most likely

The Freestyle FK is going to be way more of a "do it all" style of reverse camber

So my suggestion for what you're wanting to do, just make sure you get Freestyle FK whether it's an Indoor Survival or an Ultrafear.
