Bataleon Goliath vs. YES.

Hey Guys,

Im getting a new board this year, pretty stoked since I live in Seattle and the NorthWest is supposed to have a killer year.

Anyway, I am debating between a Bataleon Goliath, or a YES 154 Rocker Twin Tip.

I'll be hitting the park, backcountry, powder, everything, so I need an all-mountain board.

If you have ridden either of these, or know anything about them, any info is apperciated.

Here are the links to the sights:

YES.NOW.BOARD | BOARD SHOP.
BATALEON SNOWBOARDS | Triple Base Tech, the best thing to happen to snowboards since edges. boards

Thank you and much love from Seattle!

Hey, looks like you're local! I'd definitely go with the Bataleon Goliath. I've owned a couple, and a few friends do too. It's great for just about everything. I checked out the YES boards last year, and considered buying one at an insanely good late season sale price, but decided not to. I'm not totally sold on Camrock tech, I heard some bad things about warranty/customer service, and the serrated edge was just weird.

The customer service issue has been fixed from what I hear. The original issues were when YES was really knew and they just didn't have it dialed in.

I'm extremely curious about the serrated edges and the camrock. Hope to get to demo one this season...

I'm opposite of Triple, I hated my Bataleon and sold it after riding it a few times. I had a Bataleon The Jam and I despised the edge hold.. Would be traversing or something simple on edge and it would literally just blow out from under me if I hate a bump. So Bataleons aren't necessarily for everyone imo.

I havn't ridden a YES yet or I would comment.

It was either a YES or a Never Summer Heritage for me this season and I went with the Heritage because I fell in love when I demoed it, and YES doesn't make a wide in the GDOH

Basically you're dealing with two pretty unique boards and you should do your best to demo them both before pulling the trigger.

For the record, Milo is pretty much the only person on this forum that has didn't like his Bataleon. He makes sure to state that every chance he gets, so just realize that (surprisingly, considering the radically different TBT tech), that almost everyone loves it once they give it a couple days on the hill.

Hey another local

If you are going to be boarding at Stevens I would recommend the Bataleon. However, I have never ridden the YES. Sooo kinda a biased view.

BUT WAIT: I would seriously suggest doing a test run on these boards, because it's a lot of money if you dont like them D:
