i'm around 5 feet 9 inches, will 148 cm be alright for me,
specifically this

for 148 its 100-145 and i'm 140, should i reconsider because i might gain weight as i grow? (im still 15 so i have a lot of growing to do)

You might take a look at the next size or two up. Board recommendations are based on weight, once you've decided what type of board you are looking for.

At your weight and age I recommend the 152. I ride a 152 at your weight, and since you're 15 you'll be gaining weight soon. 152. Good board, enjoy

I second this notion. 152 will be slightly on the longer side for you, but you'll be fine with it. It'll give you longevity as well since you are in fact growing.

I decided im going with this,
Save on Burton Indie Board & Binding Package - Mens
the 152. does the toe strap go over or in front of your foot?
i'd prefer one that goes in front but whatever.
anyone know much about the indie?
(general all-mountain, def. some terrain park.)

The Burton Indie is a very low quality board compared to the Swindle.

I see.. i'd like the swindle but they don't have a package with a board thats 152 ugh.

... but how is it that board length questions are still being based on a person's height? how did this begin and why does it continue?

incidentally, the Burton Indie (of a few years back) was plenty good enough to give my missus several seasons of faultless riding.
