Smallest waist width

Hi, I am currently looking for a new board and am in need of some advice. My 07/08 Rome Machine 157 snapped along edge last day of last season. Alot of the boards I am looking at are pretty narrow compared to my previous boards. I wear a size 12 Lashed, 6ft 180lbs, 24 1/2 stance width, and angles at 18/-12. What do you guys think my minimum waist width can be? Could I get away with a 252mm with my stance width and angles? I ride in southern ca (mthigh) and mostly ride park (70/30). If there are powder days I have another board to ride..

Im looking to get a smaller brand board (sapient, artec/elan, atomic, etc) but wudnt be against something else. Just dont have the biggest funds this year. My Machine (260 ww) did seem to be a little on the wide side. It was very stable in park and boxes but edge to edge transfer lagged a bit. Any suggestions? Want to stay in 155-157 range.
Thanks alot!!

Would the DC PBJ 157 be a good pick? GNU CHB MTX 156?
