I assume you read the back of the flyer too, but if you didn't it explains the elliptical camber, basically the apex of the cambered region is pulled in towards the inserts, rather than centered. I make no claims as to whether or not it works, if that's what you meant...

As much as I hate Mervin, that is some interesting tech....
So interesting that I would actually like to ride it just to see if it actually works. That's a pretty crazy design.... Pretty skeptical as to whether itll work or not. If it's anything like their banana tech it's probably just as big of a POS |

Talk about a quick response to the RC thing.
Doesn't look all that different to me. Just moving the camber sweet spot and going with the longer arc towards the tips and tails. Something that has been done with set back boards forever. Looks like to me you are going to lose some in powder with that design. Maybe not, but that is my initial reaction. Those guys sure do tinker around a lot, no doubt. I'll have to demo it at Loveland this year. Maybe we'll get lucky and have some powder to play in, but probably not. |

The tech makes me think it would perform weird in all conditions, even groomers. If I understand how the tech is atleast....
But ya, quick way around the RC patent, but they've probably had this sitting on the shelf for a second anticipating the patent |

Hell I don't even know if that gets them around the patent, I guess that is up to lawyers and judges to decide if it even went that far. Which I doubt.
Hard to say if it would ride weird or not. I've been skeptical on several developments in the last 5 years and most of my skepticism has been unfounded. It's worth a demo. |
