Changes to K2 Gyrator over the years?

If I recall correctly, K2 introduced rocker to the Gyrator pow stick back in the 08/09 season right? Have they made any changes to the board for last year's or this year's Gyrator? If so, what did they change besides graphics?

More like reintroduced the Gyrator. I remember that board from like 1989. It was rocker back then too.

Oh really? Well that statement makes me feel young again hahaha. Anyways, since they reintroduced it then. I think that was the 08/09 season right?

Maybe the 07/08 season before that. I remember BA doing reviews on it when Snowboard.com was still hopping.

What year did they add that? So no changes to stuff like setback, taper, rocker placement/uplift?

That was new 2 years ago I think? I don't think the shapes changed at all.

there have been changes since the 're-introduction'
the original rocker was pretty extreme and anytime u hit hardpack it was almost unridable. strictly a pow board ONLY.
since then they they relieved some of the xtreme rocker factor so its a little more managable if you end up on the hardpack. still in my opinion its a pow board only. which means don't take it to the resort.. i got a buddy who brings his for sledd access riding all the time and loves it in the powder ONLY

Ok so I heard back from K2. So 07/08 is when the Gyrator was re-introduced with an extreme tip-to-tail rocker shape. They toned down the rocker the following year for 08/09. For the 09/10 season they went to the capped topsheet (rolled edges) with thinner sidewall, added harshmellow inserts for dampening. Not sure when they added the Flatline base shape, but I'm guessing either this season or last.

Well after much internal debate, I picked up this season's 2011 Gyrator. Can't wait to get it, even knowing it won't be seeing any use for awhile...
