"Angry" about Rossignol

What, did some Rossignol skier run over his board or something?

If you disagree, let's hear why. I don't agree with BA all of the time, nor do I agree with anyone all of the time, but I don't see much to argue against here.

Rossignol pretty much just makes rental quality boards these days.

Rossi was never an interest for me. However, I did demo the 2011 One Magtek last season and I was stoked on it. My love for Rossi starts and ends there though. Their other boards were eh.

well, the poster does seem a bit over angry over something so stupid lol, but he is right... Rossignol is definately an all around ski company and although they tried to do some things with snowboarding, it didn't really work out lol. I think other ski brands like Salomon and K2 are much more respected by our community for what they have brought to snowboarding. But just because Rossignol makes shitty snowboards doesn't mean they whole brand is going to hell or anything lol, they just obviously have their priorities in skiing which i understand considering that their name is one of the top in skiing.

The only niche i can see rosi filling is beginner boards, like lamars or world industrys. My first board was a rossi, but have they ever had a real presense amongst more expirienced snowboarders?

I disagree with most of the things said here. I give mad props to Rossignol snowboards because of many reasons but the most important is the amount of technology you get for the price. The One Magtek for example. Tons of carbon fiber as well as kevlar under the edges. Not to mention magnetraction. All for $450. If that were a Burton board it would be $800. Rossi makes some sick boards for the price.
