Default wide snowboards

i got my first wide snowboard and im worried that it might be to big. i ride a size 11 boot, i ride terrain park and all moutain

Wide boards are generally only a couple cm's bigger.. built so that there is no boot drag, it is a general rule that boot size 11 and up should be on wide boards, you should be fine, unless you're worried about the length.

im not too worried, i figure that it will allow me better carving with less toe drag and may better float in pow

"Wide" does not mean any one thing. There is no indsutry wide standard for when a board is called "wide" and it varies greatly by brand and size. What model and size did you buy?

The 156 Wide is 26.5 at the waist and 27.3 at the inserts. Your size 11 is 29 cm. That leaves you 1.7 cm of barefoot overhang at staright angles.
