Bataleon ET - Snowboarding Forum

Hey looking for a new set up this year but I am little lost.

Currently I have a 05/06 155 Ride DH which to me is stiff as a board. I am about 6'2' 185lbs. I am sold on a bataleon board but am lost in which size to get.

The shop where I live by carries.
157 evil twin
155 airobic (too small?) or find a 159
159 riot

If anyone could provide me with a few opinions that would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on what you're trying to do with it.

have to guess you're mostly park(?)

the riot is probably as stiff, if not stiffer than your DH

the airobic is their flexiest board...but I'd guess 155 is too small for you

the 157 ET sounds about right

I guess I forgot to add that but it will be strictly for the park.

If it's strictly for park, you're gonna love that Airobic 155. Thing will butter and press anything/anytime/anywhere.

Size wouldnt be a issue if I got the 155?

Is the only differences in the ET and airobic just the stiffness rating?

Depends if you get the ET Classic or the New ET. ET Classic is same shape and TBT profile as the Airobic, but just stiffer. 6-4-6 instead of 4-2-4 I believe.

The new ET has a new shape, reworked TBT profile, different lengths, slightly more flexible than the Classic supposedly.

just sayin I'm 6'1", 170 lbs and a 155 feels as short as I'd want to go. Don't how noodly a 155 at 4-2-4 flex might get at your weight.

I have had the Airobic in a 155 also. I tried taking it down some moguls, just to see, and yeah that sucked. But you said it's for park, so there should be no problem.

what made you switch to the ET?

I tried out my buddies 49 skate banana for a run the other day and felt it had a real nice flex but it felt a little washy on the nose and tail.

The specs for the banana say it has a flex rating of 5 all around, while the Airobic is 4/2/4 (nose/middle/tail) which would make it a much softer board correct?

Would the skate banana and evil twin be comparable boards disregarding TBT and rocker tech?
