Neither? The stair will be too soft for 10% park. From CAPiTA look at the Quiver Killer and BSOD. The TWC is a pretty basic board. I think better can be had for the money. Drop the extra $100 and get the Flow Infinite I-Rock. Or get a last years something.
I ride the 156 Scaremaster which is an exact replica of the stairmaster and its softer than an all mtn board but not so soft that it can't ride all mtn. But obviously you should buy a board more suited to your style of riding.
Well, I usually ride all mountain so I'm basically looking for a board I can ride all day long. The guy at my local shop also suggested a K2 darkstar...
I found the darkstar a little too soft for all mtn...but I'm also about 190lbs. If you're on the lower end of the weight spectrum it would probably be a pretty good board esp if you want to venture into the park now and then.
Nitro Misfit, Nitro Team, Capita BSOD, Ride Antic, Ride Society, there are quite a few really. My Current all mtn board is the Nitro Misfit and it's super aggressive.
are you interested in the stairmaster because it's cheap?
Because I bought it for that exact reason. The board is great if you are riding park, a few jumps but mostly rails. If you are doing 90 percent all mountain I would highly suggest no. I love my stairmaster for what its designed for but I say a big no for what your doing.
Capita Indoor Survival FK, carbon-x stringers in the middle make for a stiffer core, the ends are flexible for those butters. Excellent board for the best of both worlds.
I'd seriously look into this one if I were you because it suits what you seem to look for in all mountain but will perform super in the park.
This years FK has a different layup that I actually think is better. No x in the middle. They moved the carbon to two strips in the tips. In the GM it made the board the best park board I've ever ridden.
I've found someone local selling a 2008 Capita BSOD with Forum bindings.
I may buy that, or buy last year's Postermania.
I'm not too concerned about the board not being suitable for park, I'm going to focus on all mountain this year.
Is the Slash the wide version of the Agent?
