whats up everyone, so here it is. Ive gone boarding a bunch of times love it, cant get enough of it. Im looking for my first board.... Ive being doing a lil research and i've gone into a couple shops to get some opinions. I wanted to spend around 300 but was told to bump my price up to have a bigger selection... so i guess around 400. Im 5'11, 200 lb with a 10.5 foot. i was also told i should be looking at 160-162 cm board, a large binding and i should be fine with a regular width board. im looking for an all mountain board but would like to slowly push myself into freestyle.
so what do you guys think?? AND FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ARE GONNA *ICK ME AROUND (CAUSE THERES ALWAYS ONE) DONT WAISTE YOUR TIME... THIS IS WHAT THE FORUMS ARE FOR

At your $400 price range you will have to avoid higher end brands like NS or Lib if you want to stay new. I would also stay on a regular width or mid-wide board and I would get 1 159-160 for your all mountain deck. For new boards I would look at:
K2 Darkstar: flatline camber, solid all mountain deck Capita Indoor Survival: Hear nothing but great things about this Burton Process: New board this year, hearing good things, has the channel which may be a turn off Gnu Carbon Credit: Don't know much about it but it's got BTX and its GNU and in your $ range |
