Salomon Ace Magnum for a 250 pounder? - Snowboarding Forum

I'm considering the Salomon Ace Magnum 166W. My friend works for them and suggested this board. I'm 5'9" 250 lbs with a 10.5 boot. I've been boarding off and on for almost 25 years, but haven't owned a board in a long time. I'm looking for something useable in most riding conditions and inexpensive, but since I've gained some weight, not sure which way to turn. Most height/weight charts seem to disagree when I plug in my height/weight. I'm concerned that the Ace Magnum 166W (with a waist of 268) may be too wide. But I've also had toe drag on past boards. Any suggestions, hopefully keeping to the choice among Salomon boards?
