Replacing my NS Legacy: Thinking of going SL - Snowboarding Forum

So I'm finally upgrading from the Never Summer Legacy 159 I've had for the past 4 or 5 years. I was riding a pair of bulky Burton boots in a size 11, that I prob should have got in a 10.5 (some heel lift).

I just got a pair of Nike Kaiju in a 10.5 and they have a pretty small footprint, so i was thinking I could get away with an NS SL 158. I'd prefer to avoid a wide board if I don't have to, even though I really enjoyed my Legacy. I don't want to buy a wide board just out of habit. Oh, im 5'10" 180-185 lbs.

Do you think I'll be good w/ the SL 158?

perfect!! i'm the same weight and demoed a 2011 sl 158 last year and it was a blast. i wear a size 10 boot and it was no problem.

go for it!!!

You shouldn't need a wide board with a 10.5 boot on a 158 board no matter if the boots are low profile or not.

i've ridden a smaller SL with a smaller waist and i have size 11 boots and i had no drag at all. you'll be golden on the 158
