I've been looking around to buy my first snowboard, this one LOOKS pretty good and is at a good price, only thing is I dont know what brand/model it is. same with the bindings

apologies if this is in the wrong section etc. new to the site :dunno:

any help would be greatly appreciated, heres a picture of the board :)

probably firefly but my god those angles are fucking aggressive.

maybe an old k2 board with old ride bindings?

"Hawking"(?) There were so many snowboard brands in the 90s, it boggles the mind...I think they even ran out of names.

do you mean the bindings? yeah I would definitly move them.

anyone got any idea of what kind/genre of snowboarding this board wouldve been aimed at? would it suit me

Im about 5"6 and 65kg and ive been snowboarding about 3 weeks total. I can do most black runs and at the end of my last trip was learning to do a few boxes/rails and quarter pipes, can do ollies/180s etc so i would say im an intermediate snowboarder

so would it be fair for me to want a board that is about 150-155cm and is fairly flexy?

also, the bindings appear to be made of carbon fiber in other pictures of this board, is that a new kind of technology or has it been around for a while?

just go to a store and get a board there as opposed to getting some 15 year old junker with "carbon fiber" bindings

Highly doubt that is carbon fiber, the mounting discs aren't even slotted for adjustably. Even the cheapest brands out there use slotted discs.

Don't waste you money on this set up, unless it is $5 and free shipping...at $5.01 you will be getting ripped off.

The newest (only good thing) thing in that photo is Smith Holt helmet. That is worth more than board x and binding y.
