Help deciding new board. - Snowboarding Forum

Hello everyone. Im in the market for a new board, Im just geting back into snowboarding after a long break of almost 5 years, ive been reading up on diffrent boards. Ive already bought bindings and boots and went with rome 390 bosses and burton hail boots.

Im 6 foot 3, 200 and im an all mountian type of rider, I like going where ever I want.

Ive been looking at the Ride DH2 162 w, Ride Machette 161 w, and the Lib Tech Travis Rice C2 BTX 161.5

So if you can give me any input, pros and cons. I would really apreciate it, also if you have any more recomendations im all ears, im basicly clueless when it comes to gear I just love to ride, Thanks!

out of those three boards i think you'd like the Travis Rice C2 BTX the best. also check out the Gnu Riders Choice in a 162 W.

are libtech and gnu the same company?

The riders choice looks very promissing its definatly and option, my local shop has all four the them in the size I want so keep coming with input I want to see what others have to say and make a choice by friday so I can go to the mountians saturday

Skip Mervin and go to Smokin. Small operation and you still get Magne plus fully wrapped edges. Try the KT-22 159 or Superpark CTX 159.

Some others I would check would be the CAPiTA BSOD 162, Arbor Coda 161, wait for a 2012 Forum Destroyer DoubleDog, CAPiTA Indoor FK 160...

Though this may all change... What size Hail did you end up in?

Well if you ride more than 22in wide and more than 9* on each foot then all my recommendations stand.

i had most of the boards mentioned up top next to each other last night and slowly went tru them all and it came down to the captia, trice horse power c2btx, and the gnu riders choice.. i ended up going with the trice 164.5, im happy with the purchase so far. going to the mountians saturday to try it out. thanks for the help guys
