def base grind that shiz- much better than just waxing it- and after you get your board tuned- remember- it's not gonna wax itself...

Dude, looks like you've never waxed it! Get a base grind, what that doesn't smooth out have a shop use p-tex, from there obviously wax it. You should be good to go.
