Help me choose.
Ride mostly local SoCal mountains..occasional Mammoth trips. I'm 5'6"..150 lbs...going for a 152 Machete or a 153 Carbon Credit. I am an excellent rider, defintely intermediate to advanced. However I am not much of a park guy. Which of these would I be happier with? I have also never ridden a board with rocker, I know the Machete has less rocker. |

but personally as an all arounder, i like the carbon credit. it'll ride excellently as an all mountain board on groomers and will float in pow.

I considered the same thing earlier this season. The first thing I noticed between the two aren't in the same class of flex. The machete is definitely stiffer, more in the area of a 7 out of 10 flex. The Carbon Credit is a bit more of a 5 out of 10 in flex. I demo'd both last year, looking for a playful all mountain board. The selling point between the two for me is that machete felt more stable at higher speeds. Both are alot of fun in the park, however I felt the machete did better out of the park.

Too big? Too small, maybe. You've picked the smallest possible Machete, and are the very top of the stated weight range. You could ride a 155 or 158 comfortably, and since you're not much of a park guy, one of those probably would be better.
