My stats: 175lbs, 6'0", size 12 US
I bought the 2011 Ride DH 157cm a few days ago. Here's my impressions so far... Powder - after setting back my stance I rode in 2 feet of powder effotlessly. For the deep stuff there are faster/more suitable boards but the DH is a solid performer. Groomers - fast, stable, maneuverable, holds an edge on any type of snow - groomer killer. Park - saved the best for last - Holy shit! This thing pops like a mother! One of the sweetest boards I have hit kickers with. It will send you up, up, up. Overall, the board is fairly light and solid built. There have been at least half a dozen occasions in the last few days where I thought I fucked up the base but on later inspection found nothing but minor scratches. IMO, this is a great board for jumping anything that you can use on the rest of the mountain without compromising on performance. |

Looking to get either this year or the 2011-2012 ..would you recommend those over the 2010-2011? I would be on groomers most of the time, im an intermediate rider, started going off kickers, boxes, small jumps, and rails last year..how is this board in icy conditions?

I don't think too much changed from 2011 to 2012. Maybe an update in the pop rods but it's not major. this board really hasn't changed much in years.
Just picked up a 2010 that's looks like its never really been ridden for next to nothing. Excited to get it ive always herd they are super stable and hit kickers like a mother! Should be fun.
