Arbor with GNU Mutant Bindings Question - Snowboarding Forum

A friend of mine picked up an Arbor board and GNU Mutant bindings. I went to mount them for him and even when I tightened the binding as tight as it would go, the bindings still moved. Has anyone ever experienced this with a board before. None of the boards I've owned ever did this. The binding screws seem to hit the bottom of the pilot holes causing them to not tighten past a certain point. He went home and took a ratchet to it and he said it doesn't move now, but I'm hoping he didnt mess up the board overtightening. Any insight?
