Hi Folks, I'm new here to the forum. Seeking a few answers to a couple questions I have regarding a new setup before I take the plunge. I really want to take advantage of the newer R/C tech.
I currently ride an older 2006 Burton Custom 154 w/ Mission bindings. This is my 5th season. I'm 5'9", weigh 135lbs and my boot size is 9.5. I'm mainly into carving the mountain, getting in the trees. I love hitting the rollers and getting some side play. I'm from the ice coast, but do make a trip out to Colorado each year in search of deep, untapped pow. I ride greens all the way to doub-blacks (but not gracefully ) My complaint about the 06 Custom was that it's too stiff for me and doesn't have enough pop. I ride about 20 days a year.I'm really looking hard at the Never Summer SL. I think it will be a lot of fun from everything I've read. It'll give me the flex and pop I want, but I'll still be able to bomb it down the mountain with little chatter. 1. So my question is, does the SL sound like a good fit for my style of riding? 2. If so, what size should I get. 153 or 155? 3. What is a good responsive binding, not overly too stiff, but not too soft. (Looking at the 2011 Cartels Re:flex) I'm in Breckenridge Dec 31st-Jan 5th, so want to get it setup for the trip. Thanks all. -Mike Last edited by Jasafar; 12-21-2010 at 04:22 PM. |
