2011 k2 raygun or 2010 burton hero or other?

Sup people. I just started snowboarding again and my friend suggested that I buy a new board since the one i have is so worn out..

I'm 5'8 , 140lb, and my skill level is beginner. I can only link turns right now, but although I do not go off jumps , nor do tricks, I plan on trying later on as my skill gets better.

So, which board would be better for me ? Raygun or Hero or neither? Also, my price range is between $300-350. Thanks!

I can't commend the Raygun enough for what you get for the price. It's easily the best all-mountain board in that price range. It will also be a great learning board that you can grow into. It has a rocker profile which will make it less catchy. You also won't be learning bad habits since it is not as loose as other rockered snowboards. The middle of this board is flat.

If you really think that you will get into park riding, the Hero is a good choice. I have to warn you, it is a soft board. If you plan on taking it down a decent blue run, it's not going to be very stable. However, for freestyle, this board is really fun.

No problem. I just realized that I gave you the wrong link to a board. I fixed it and is now linking to the Raygun.

Just a plug, you'll get a free set of Skullcandy Riot Earbuds along with a Burton gift pack which includes a scraper, leash, stomp pads, and DVD if you order through snowboards.net.

Just call the customer service number in the top right or use the live chat feature and they will process the entire order for you. Just make sure you mention that you want the free earbuds and gift pack.
