rice or dark series

i want a good lib tech for riding down the mountain whether its really icy or powder what do i choose the travis rice or the dark series what will be better i dont need a park board or jumping just carving down the mountain in ice or normal snow what do i choose

I've tested both the T. Rice and the Dark Series and in terms of what you're looking for I'd say the Dark Series is your board. It is a beast for freeriding and carving

You can't go wrong either way, just choose the one you think looks better, or the one that has the size you want.

The dark series is a little stiffer, but they are both made for what you are looking for.

I got the 2011 Dark Series, it's not sick, it's fucking sick! I went with it over the rice because it's more geared for speed. Narrower board, more contact, lower profile nose. I ride the 161 and it floats in Pow like a dream and kills the groomers. I give it 2 out of a possible 2
