Hey there...need some advice on board size and boots.
Recently purchased a 2008 160cm Burton Custom X with FLOW NXT FX Bindings. I am 5'8" and weigh a little over 70kgs. I decided to go with a larger board due to my weight and because I wanted a nice smooth ride; But, I'm beginning to think I made a mistake and should have gone with a smaller board, especially in this model as the Custom X is already a stiff board to begin with. Anyway, I'm finding I need to exert a lot of leg power to get this thing from heel carve to toe side. *(in part due to the fact I'm using #&*@ boots but also the board perhaps may be a bit to long for me?) Should I keep this thing or move down to a 156? keeping the board or not...I'm now in the market for a good set of boots suited for the FLOW NXT FX bindings and all round free riding. (stiff, light, good heel grip and highly responsive) I am currently considering the following: Burton ION Burton Direct X Solomon Malamute Which is the better boot for 80% free riding and 20% free style? Any other boots out there worth looking into? any advice will be appreciated. Just want to make the most of whats left of the season. Last edited by sousa; 02-02-2008 at 12:07 PM. |
