Default Is it worth getting a snowboard vise?

After the shop scratched up the top sheet of board, I'm going to start tuning and waxing my own board. Do I need a snowboard vise or can I just put them on a pair of sawhorses.

The one instrcutional video I've seen on youtube (Snow Wolf I think) used what looked like a plastic milk crate between the bindings. Seemed simple enough.

Usually you want the bindings off for waxing and scraping.

Sometimes I'm lazy and keep them on, it's not a HUGE deal

I just lay the board anywhere I can that's comfy to wax it, then I stand it up in the bathtub to scrape it. Put a washcloth on the bottom edge or else you'll scratch your tub

Use 2 pastic trash cans...that way you can scrape the wax off into them at each end. I used to use saw horses but hated the clean up.

I wax/scrape my my board across two sawhorses by the garage door. All the scraped wax lands at the end of the garage, which makes it convenient to simply sweep into the mulch.
