Newb: Royale board sizing
Hey all, Just found this forum and am proud to say that i am hooked on snowboarding. After riding my friend's board with his help, i was hooked...almost like longboarding but on ice!
so for the details per the sticky thread:
-I'm male, 18 years old
-5'10", athletic build
-would like to do simple tricks (small jumps) and mostly shred
the mountain (my version of carving)from top to bottom
I've decided to go with cartel bindings with the Moto boot (burton. only problem, is the board size. Most people say that it should go up to my chin, or just above. the board i want is the Royale from Burton (this year's model). The white sizes (only will get white) are only 154 and 162. 154 would be perfect (my friend says) but i'd like to have a more stable board for fast(er) runs down the slopes without sacrificing "THAT" much maneuverability/board control at low speeds (for light park stuffs)
-would i be able to get away with a 162?
-how much difference will 8cm make in how the board rides?
thanks much all,

height has nothing to do wtih board size. i am 140lbs and ride a 151 in the park. so a 154 will be good for an all mountain board.
That thing I do to escape the world and have fun with my friend
Also, buy my things?
