I live in SW Montana, where there's snow on the ground from mid-late November until early April. Unfortunately, the nearest lift-accessed mountain is 1.5 hours away, so I only make it twice a week. I'm looking for suggestions on a cheap (!) setup to use goofing off around town after I get off work: hitting small jumps in driveways and that sort of thing. I looked into snowskates, but considering I trashed my knee skateboarding, I'm a little leery of that.
Cheap (or better yet, used and cheap) boards to look for as well as cheap bindings suggestions will be much appreciated. My stats: 5'9", 225lbs, sz 11.5 boots, riding style doesn't matter because this is going to be a board I trash riding on 6" of snow over concrete, with no run over maybe 100 feet.
