Hey guys and girls I am lookin at getting my new board after snapping my forum destroyer on a jump and have it narrowed down to a DC MLF 158 or a Bataleon Riot 159. But I heard that DC boards break after a while, but on the other hand I also hear that they are some damn good boards. The Bataleon I know will be good on jumps cause its stiff enough and ive ridden a Bataleon ET and did like it but Im skeptical that the DC just got a bad name because of a few bad landings and everyone sharing bad with no one sharing good.
Anyway im 6'1 and 155 pounds thanks in advance! |

I have never tried a Bataleon, so I can't comment on them. They seem to be some great boards.
I do own an MLF 156 however, and I love that board. It performs the way I want it on everything I do (jumps, rails, buttering, pow). The flat to radius is no scam, this board will float in powder as well as handle everything else I throw at it

my only advice
stick to a company that ONLY makes snowboards!! they are down for the sport and not just to make their share holders happy with $$$$$$

DC boards are just as good as any other company. I know guys who ride them hard and they're holding up fine. The bataleon have a unique feel because of the TBT that I'm not a huge fan of. They're certainly less catchy but I didn't like the drifty feel they have off jumps. Maybe if I rode them awhile I'd get used to it. A lot of people love them on this forum. |

shitty advice eh?
well you keep buying from companies that sell you on MARKETING rather than on quality and technical features. would you buy a car from a bread company? or a computer from a table maker? DC is a marketing machine and are master spin doctors!! but that is ok you are entitled to your opinion but one thing is for sure BATALEON is the real deal and only care about SNOWBOARDING!! you can stay on the MASS MARKETING band wagon, we like your kind to stay there SMILE its snowboarding

This is a really strange topic to make a stand on. I've seen plenty of people riding DC boards and none of it seems to be hype. Was watching a guy stomping 5 after 5 in the park and making it look ultra-easy/steezy.

nefarious
i gave my advice and someone thought it was shitty all i was saying was that buying from a company that only focuses on snowboards is a smart decision. i strongly support companies that are committed to the sport not just in it to be cool and to capitalise on its popularity just my opinion
