This is it.

After over a month of extensive research, I'm down to two beginner boards.
- Ride Machete
- GNU Carbon Credit

I can't split them;
Both are in the same price category
Both were awarded Transworld Good Wood 2011 awards
Both come in the size I want
Both are respectable brands
Both have good technology in them

Someone PLEASE give me something that makes one of these boards a better beginner board than the other.

GNU because Mervin made it, and yes I'm serious.

I wanted a sig, but I need a job first.

lots of people say that mervin has bad quality because the don't fully wrap the boards with edges and this and that, but these rumors are simply untrue. mervin makes the best quality boards, and also, IMO, the best snowboards money can buy. banana makes riding better in every way, period. they started reverse camber, so they do it the best. go mervin, you wont be dissapointed.

I don't know about that... I mean, I like Lib Tech and all... but after riding a Carbonium series Never Summer and not seeing a single scratch after a collision with a skier...

LoL. Don't worry, I'll never completely turn away from Lib Tech boards like the T.Rice. And mind you, my favorite board is still the Banana Magic
