I got a chance to buy a used 2010 smokin bigwig 157 for about 200 dollars. This board has some detuned edges, a little bit of base damage (repaired) about the size of a dime. Its still ridable and still under warranty. My question is whether I should invest in this board or keep looking. Thanks in advance. I know its a great board, but should I wait for sales at the end of this season or should I pick this one up. Thanks again.

You're not gonna find a new one that cheap no matter what sort of sale you happen to stumble across. $200 isn't a bad price depending on how damaged it is, that's over 50% off MSRP. Supposed to be a killer of a board but I haven't had a chance to ride one yet

Kind of depends if that is the one board you were looking for or if it is just a board that you found in your price range.
If it is the board for you it probably isn't a bad deal. If you are just looking for something in that price range you can probably find something that hasn't been detuned and has no base damage. |
