Default Never Summer SL 153 or 155 for rider with small feet?

Trying to decide between a 153 or 155 Never Summer SL. I'm 5'7", 160lbs, and wear a 7.5US boot. The 153cm model has a 24.4cm waist width which I would think would be better for my smaller feet in order to torsionally twist the board but am worried about whether this is the correct length for my weight. The 155cm model has a wider 25.1cm waist width which I think may be too wide for my feet (based on online calculators). NS doesn't post weight ranges so I can't use them as a guide.

Any thoughts? Would 2cm in length really make much of a difference? Or would the larger differences in waist width be a bigger concern for me?

For a mid-flex board like the SL, the 153 or 155 will be suitable. The 2cm difference won't be noticeable unless you happen to get a chance to demo them side by side.

Say you do get the chance, here's what you might notice:

The 153 will be easier to flex

The 155 will ride a bit more damp

The 153 will give you a little more control in terms of edge to edge and spinning

The 155 will ride a bit faster

At your weight, a 153 down from 155 isn't drastic. Now say me, being 180lbs, has been riding a 158. I could go down to 155 just fine with minimal differences. However, if I go down all the way to the 152, the differences will be easily discernible.

Given your foot size, the 153 sounds to be your best bet.

Thanks for the advice. I guess I'll get the 153cm. Any issues with the smaller board handling in choppy conditions?
