200lb, size 14 foot, i have a 158w nitro t1 and am looking to add an all mountain board. I am an intermediate rider with the opportuntiy to ride a bit more than once a week so i am hoping to keep progressing quickly, i ride in the canadian rockies. No desire to jib at this point. I like jumps, steeps, and trees. 3 boards im looking at:
K2 Darkstar 163w Nitro Team Gullwing 162w (looks good but i kinda wanted to try another brand) NS Legacy 163 (mid wide i know, but is slightly wider than my current board at both the waist and tip/tail) Ride Machete 164w thx Last edited by Justin; 02-19-2011 at 12:51 PM. |

I have no advice for the other three boards but....I know you have BIG feet, but a machete 164w would be HUGE for you. I Ride the Machete 157w at 190 lbs and size 12. Remember that a wide board adds more surface area than a regular board per cm. The Machete is a fabulous board.
. I would size for your weight and work on toe drag by all other means (boots, angles, lifts, hoping).I've got a Rome Machine 159 used, Cheap, if youre interested. |

if you havent ridden it yet you could certainly return/exchange it, possibly for the 161w. It will probably be the bomb in super deep pow though!! If you're not a jib-rat you might prefer it anyway. The upside is due to the lowrise it rides like a shorter board anyway... enjoy
