sizing help weight vs height, K2 Raygun - Snowboarding Forum

I just picked up a new K2 raygun 153 length from dicks for 115 bucks!! Only problem is the k2 sizing chart says for rider less than 150. i am 5'6" so the length is perfect but i am 175lbs so I am above the sizing chart weight. I have heard some say to buy based on length and not worry so much about the weight. I have also heard the opposite. Think this thing will work for me or is it going to be too soft? I dont know if the next size up board is thicker/stiffer? Heck I guess for $115 who cares!
