Long story short, hit a rock at speed, got a gouge and a pretty nasty bulge in the base, right under the binding. Fixed it the best I could and then took it to Christy Sports for a base grind to finish the job (I had a coupon.) A few days of riding later the star part started popping out from the base, but was still being held in by the p-tex repair so I let it be. On Saturday at I ollied hard off a roller and the flex must have popped it all the way out, and the snow bent it more when I landed.
Heres some pics of whats going on: ![]() ![]() ![]() Any advice on how to fix this? I was thinking epoxy to stick it down and then p-tex over it? Since this spot sees a lot of forces being right under the binding it seems like it would just pop out again though... Thanks |

I can't wait for the day when BurtonAvenger gets to chime in on someone asking "How do I re-attach my arm to my body"
I have a feeling it will involve gunpowder, a vice, 3 tubes of toothpaste, and him saying don't be a pussy.

Well, since you took it to Christy Sports I'm going to assume you're located in CO. If that's the case, give NS a call and let them know what's going on. They'll tell you to bring it in and they'll fix it right for you. It won't cost you anymore to have them do it right than to have some stoner college kid half ass it in some rental shop like Christy's.

Give 'em a call and ask. I've heard rumors, but I've never had to have any work done by them so no first hand experience. I'll just say that if what I've heard is true that you'll be pleasantly surprised.
