is there a difference between a and b?

A - will give you slight left to right adjustment between the mounting holes

B - will give you front to back (heel to toe) adjustment if you need to center your bindings

is there a correct way? I got Rome bindings and they said it should be mounted in picture A. Will it mess anything up if i go with B?

are the heelcup ajustable? if so you can use "A" and adjust heel-toe centering with the heelcup. If not use "B" and make sure your boots are centered.

The correct way is to get your boots mounted centered across the width of your board (or if you like slight toe or heel bias). Mount it like A, and check it. If you have heel cup adjustments mess with that, along with toe straps.

If you can't get it to work that way, try picture B. I've had a binding where picture A was perfect. I've also tried a binding where pic A had half my boot off the heel side.

I hate to be the mean guy, but if the bindings clearly say 'Mount it way A' then mount it way A.

There shouldnt even be any thoughts about it...

how do you know if the boots are centered? I think i have my toes dragging out a little more but would like for my heels to come out.

would the toes coming out more give me more powerful toe-sided turns?
