Thinking of buying 08/09 ride spi bindings, everywhere i look on the site specs it says they have a forged aluminum response disc, my question is is the frame also aluminum on that model because i know the newer ones are, since that's the main reason im getting them? also how do they hold up, im planning on going to the mountains often and dont want to be getting new bindings every season

Wrong forum, but yes, they're aluminum.
They hold up pretty well.all things considered. I've warped a baseplate on one, but put it in a vice and bent it back and am still riding on it. Ride ratchets suck. They stick bad and always have. If you're looking into the SPi's make sure you want a stiff binding because they are STIFF.
