T Rice 153

I am 5' 9" 150lbs... Getting a T Rice HP thinking about getting the 153. I ride mostly blacks and tree runs, want to hit the powder on the ridge next season too. Should I go with the 153 or go 157? 153 seemed better for control and response through trees. Would it float well enough in powder though? Buying the board tomorrow so i could really use the help. Thax

I would get the 157 based on what you are wanting. But I don't know how old you are, how long you have been riding, where you ride?

I agree with you but are you sure you want such a stiff board at that short length? A 154 TRS might do you better.

That answers your question, if you already have a park board get the 157

I'm 5'5" 150lbs. I ride mostly in whistler and have a 153 T.Rice. I set my stance back 3/4 inch and it floats thigh-waist deep pow just fine. The 157 has quite a wide waist though 258mm so if you have a small foot size, the 153 might be better.

if his signal park rocker is 153, then i also recommend a 157 t.rice for montana riding in the back country. it's going to float better
but if his signal park is a shorter length, then i suggest the 153 t.rice

I would go with the 157. It's always better to have a bit more board under you with the conditions you described. I'm rockin' a 157 Banana Magic and am having an absolute blast on it in all conditions! I feel its a great length for anyone 5'7"-5'11" 140-170lbs.

It's up to you. If you have small foot size the 57 will be a little sluggish because of the wide waist width.
