Man I wish I still had my first board... - Snowboarding Forum

Ok so I was eBaying looking for a board (not sure why...just looking) and at the bottom was one of the "people also bought" things and my first even snowboard was there for $75 (current bid). 1987 Burton Elite 150

So I watch it and last night was going to bid when all of a sudden those bids came in and ran it up to $406. That's more than it was new!!!

So there's one I wish I still had.

One of the earlier Burton boards from the seventies or early eighties sold for over 4K on ebay. I think we even had a thread started but I'm too lazy now to look for the link.

I don't care about my first board but my third board is literally sitting 4 blocks from me right now and I can't get the guy to sell it back to me.

I had the original Burton Custom, which I practically gave away. Not that it is worth anything, but it was the first board I dumped some serious cash on and it would look cool mounted in my garage.

I still have my first board. I got it for $75 off of CL. It's one of two boards I'll never sell. I still take it out once or twice a season for nostalgic purposes.

Well I'm starting to feel better...the Lib Tech Matt Cummins Kink I have from 93 seems to be holding its value. There is one I'm currently following, that I would consider to be in worse condition, with a current high bid of $330.

My first board was a ho hum burton custom 160, but my second board was an Alien Workshop limited edition with Flytrap step in bindings. I wish it wouldnt have been stolen as it was extremely rare and the alien soldier graphic would have been extremely bad ass mounted on the wall in my man cave.
