K2 bamboo yah??? - Snowboarding Forum

I have the opportunity here to buy a New K2 bambooyah for 50% off. I have not read anything about them at all on here and the search feature doesn't help.

Have any of the testers on here ridden one? I plan on getting a 2012 161SL also but this board is extremely cheap and I am considering getting it for a spare/ backup or to prevent my non frequent buddies from having to rent.

I have until 4-9 to decide... then the shop closes for the season.

I'm assuming it has a bamboo core.

IT has a bamboo core, it is rocker/camber, and has a 5year warranty, the graphics on it are loud and the price seems right. Thats all I know...

I am dead set on riding Never Summer next season, but I thought maybe this thing would be a good second board for here on the icy slopes of Indiana.

You're probably right. I'm pretty sure the bambooyah is a name for their tech, not the name of a board.

K2 Fastplant i one of the best boards i´we tested. Great pop for a rockerboard. Fun, stable, grippy and forgiving at the same time. At 50% it´s a bargain.!!

That's it... LOL The Fastplant with bambooyah tech. LMAO guess I didn't read enough decals on the board while the guy was telling me how cheap it was @ 265.00. LOL

Its a good board, just didn't wow me in anyway. For 250 its a good deal.
