Default Western vs Eastern Board

Hello All,
I am about to quit my good job and move to Silverthorn Colorado area for at least a year. We are taking a year off from the real world and just living before its too late. I am looking to get a new board while I still have a couple dollars left. We are used to eastern groomed/ icy conditions, I ride a Burton Mayhem 155 and I do like it but I am thinking I may want something for softer conditions that hopefully we will encounter. I don't spend much time in the park other than to hit a few jumps and never do rails. I want something I can take in powder and off the main trails.
That all being said I don't really know what to expect when I get out there. Any suggestions on a new board . I am 5'8" 160 pounds. How are the conditions going to be different than our icy slopes out here?

Thanks

Silverthorne or Silverton? Makes a difference. I'll assume Silverthorne cause there's nothing in Silverton except Silverton.

Summit county. Get an Arbor Coda, Flow Infinite I'Rock, Ride Highlife, or a Nitro Team Gullwing. 159ish.

Silverton. Salomon Powder Snake, Venture Zephyr, Ride Slackcountry, or an Arbor Element Rocker. 162ish.

I don't know why I even though Silverton. But whatevs. If you want a pow stick thems is great.

Who in their right fucking mind chooses to move to the shithole of Silverthorne? Seriously don't do it man only thing there is the fucking strip mall and Nigerians. As far as a deck doesn't really matter for CO conditions it's a snowboard it goes down the hill.
