Next Season - New Whip

Hey guys,

So now that my season is finally over and all I wanna do is cry, the only thing I can keep myself busy with is thinking about all the new toys I'm going to buy for next year.

One of the things I'd like to pick up is a brand new board that I can personally beat up for a season or two ... I'm kind of picky about what I like to ride, and since I have 2 boards already, I'm looking for some good middle ground I think.

The 2 boards I currently have are a Burton Primo 156 and a Gnu Danny Kass 155 BTX... I love them both for different reasons, but I find the Gnu is pretty rough for all mountain riding, and the Burton is too heavy for most park riding. That being said, the Gnu is super stiff and is actually harder to press than the regular cambered Burton.

So I think what I'm looking for is a hybrid camber (C2BTX,TBT,etc.) board with a medium flex - something softer than the Kass (pipe board) but not a jib board or noodle.

I've been looking at a Westmark, NS SL, Evil Twin or a TRice... Im slowly transitioning to mostly park riding as its just so much damn fun, but I do have friends I like to ride with on all mountain days also, and I hate switching boards mid day.

So..any advice? Id also like to shoot for around a 152 or so sizewise

oh and

Height:5'8
Weight:165+/-
Boot Size: 9.5/10
Stance : 22", 15,-15 centered

Gracias amigos.

I notice you post a lot about riding at boulder, so i would reccomend a NS evo. An sl would be overkill for the area. The evo is plenty damp and stable enough to ride all mountain, has crazy pop, and is super fun to press, and it floats very well in the pow.

Personally, i stay away from gnu/lib. My last gnu felt dead after a few days, like it lost its pop and died.

hmm fair enough.. i like my gnu DK, so thats why i was looking at another one, but i really like the never summers alot and the evo sounds good to me.
i really like riding at boulder..friendly staff, lots of fun features, variety..just a very cool spot and worth the drive every time.
my only real qualification for the board is that i can ride park with it all day, and then if i feel like taking a few runs with my friends, ill still have that edge stability to make hgard turns and carve it up when i want to..

Did she say Strap-in or Strap-on?

Agreed. 3 days on my Evo and I absolutely love it. Maneuverability is incredible, I'm still working on harnessing it, and I can carve on the same level as I can my Arbor Element. I'll be looking for something even stiffer next year, is my guess.

Evo is a near-perfect do it all board IMO and worth the money.
