n00b- quality gear questions

Hi, I'm new to this forum and general gear knowledge, I'm not however, new to snowboarding, I've been boarding for about 3 years, but I wasn't really serious until this year when I started really riding park. Due to my general lack of knowledge on the subject of gear I was wondering what you guys could tell me about different brands. Bascially what I'm asking is what brands are quality, well priced, brands and which ones produce overpriced, or generally unreliable, commercial gear. This is all I know so far- Burton makes very comfortable boots I have a pair of their middle range lace ups that i got used for cheap, K2 makes nice stuff (I ahve a set of K2 bindings that work great and are quite durable), atomic makes nice stuff (I have an atomic hatchet and i love it),and capita makes good stuff). I'm mostly wondering about comanies whose snow gear I am unfamiliar with such as never summer or arbor (I am an avid longboarder but not the kind that you see cruzing around college campus' just trying to look cool, here's a link to give you an idea of what I do YouTube - Welcome ABEC 11 Team Riders Kevin Reimer and James Kelly - 2011 ) I am familiar with NS and arbor longboards but not with their snowboards.

tl;dr- gear noob looking for quality, well priced, brands.
