Red face Womens snowboard question - feelgood flying V

Hey everyone,

long time reader first time poster

im looking to purchase a new burton feelgood flying V size: 140 for my girlfriend.
i have found a few online that are around the right price

though i have found one on ebay:
BURTON WOMENS SPRINGLOADED FEELGOOD FLYING V- 140 - NEW - eBay (item 110696149777 end time Jul-02-11 15:39:38 PDT)

though the writing on the bottom of the board has thrown me off.
the burton website (and everywhere else) has this board (140) with a purple bottom with black writing, though the board for sale has a black bottom with purple writing.......

i havent been able to find this combination anywhere else on the net and thats concerned me....
i contacted the Ebay seller who mentioned that it is the current model (which didnt really help re colour)

if anyone else could help me out or clear my mind that would be appreciated

Hey, I did some searching for you and found this Website.

It does say it's 10-11 though.

Maybe they had inverted colors for different countries? I'm just throwing something out there.

I am not a fan of burton, so I don't know for sure about this board. However, it is common to re-use pieces. So if you have a black base with purple writing, there is probably a purple base with black writing.

thanks for checking it out

perhaps this is a board that was for distribution in Asia or something, it quotes the same specs etc so i guess it will be fine.

im still a bit miffed that i could not find it anywhere else on the net....

apparently these boards use a different channel size compared to the previous models EST (i have a 09-10 custom x) hence the concern about the boards and buying new bindings

any other thoughts regarding the colours?

It's not uncommon for board manufacturers to offer the same model with two bases with inverse color combos, even sold by the same retailer. Most efficient use of their materials.
