Here's my story. I currently ride a Never Summer SL which replaced my old Custom V-Rocker. I have since sold my Custom and now I have a spare '09 Cartel EST. I'm reluctant to sell the Cartels because it was given to me as a present a couple of years ago.
I live in Australia and our snow has started. I'm looking for something more freestyle/park oriented to pair with my Cartel. I'm an intermediate rider starting to learn some ground tricks like presses, buttering, etc. I know the Cartel may be a little stiff for park but I've seen it done by my friend who rides them with a Hero. What do you recommend I should get to compliment my SL? These boards have caught my eye:
I appreciate any feedback about any of these boards. Also, will the '09 Cartel EST be compatible with the newer Burton board with the M6 channel system?

I have heard that the 2012 Hero is a solid board good for everything in the park. Good playful board to compliment the more all mountain drivin SL.

I'm looking for a board to ride this season and I haven't seen many 2012 boards where I'm from.
I've narrowed down my search to either a Process V-Rocker or Hero. Which of the 2 is the better park board?

Get the Hero and don't look back. Excellent freestyle stick. It's on the softer side of Sears with decent pop and great edge to edge response.
Here's the thing, I demoed a wide model with my size 10 boot and I still found the thing to be responsive edge to edge. I had a lot of fun just messing around on this board. Definitely good for buttering. |
