Default Bataleon Goliath or Never Summer Proto

I'm looking what a board that you could describe as all mountain quiver killer. I've been riding Libs for the past 5 years but think its time for a change? Both the Bataleon Goliath and Never Summer Proto have had great reviews so far. TBT interests me and the NS construction and reputation is hard to second guess. I'm mostly riding Japan and Canada and hope for a board that can do it all, except park, jobs and pipe. Any suggestions or info would be appreciated

If you aren't doing any park at all including both jibs and jumps, then I don't see why you would want a Proto at all.

Look towards a stiffer directional/directional twin board. For NeverSummer, boards like the SL and Heritage seem more appropriate for you.

I had a Goliath a few seasons ago and I have a proto now. I hated the Goliath, did not like it at all. Rode it about 15 days and someone stole it at Whiteface, NY. Was actually happy to see it gone, collected my renters insurance and moved on. I like the Proto CT alot, much better and more fun deck than the Bataleon.

A serious +1 on the Never Summer boards recommended by Leo.

Had a go on a goliath the other day - was good and stable - not a stand out board, whereas the NS which I rode made me so happy I could have cried all the way to my depleting bank and take out a loan for every new NS board which comes out. Awesome fun!

The SL is a great board, so much fun. I'm a big wuss when it comes to speed and I was flying on that thing (after two days ... did I say i was a wuss yet?)
