Is the Ride Kink a Good option? - Snowboarding Forum

Hey guys i have been looking around for boards just online. I am a intermediate advanced rider. I do like steep stuff but also want a good park board. Is the ride kink a good park board as well as a good mountain board. I also saw that their was a wide version and a regular version and i don't know which ones for me. I have also heard from some people that ride boards are common to breaking but thats just what i have heard.
If you have any other board choices plz also let me know.
Im 5'6 135 lb. and want a board with a little growing room

My last board was a ride kink. it was a jib stick, not a mountain board by any means. and i cracked the fuck out of it. i loved it.

I dont need something like amazing for mountain i just wanna know if its like ridable on the mountain or is it hard to turn

Where do you ride? It could handle my little mountain in central new york okay, but it probably can't handle much more than that. It just gets too floppy

I ride in mammoth mountain CA half the time in the park hitting jumps and some rails and other times on the mountain like blacks

I have also heard that ride has a history of snapping did u have any problems?

If the kink is still like the kink i used to ride if you're only hitting SOME rails, I'd suggest not getting the Kink. It's a jibstick and really isn't great on larger jumps and mountain riding. I'll let some of the other guys hop in here and help out

i snapped one kink and cracked another, HOWEVER i was riding for 75-100 days a season and ABUSING my stick.

Ya i wouldn't suggest the kink unless you have another board in your quiver. For you i would recommend an arbor blacklist. Heard some amazing things about it.

I personally didn't own one, but my buddy cracked 3. I'm not sure if all were mnfg defects but ride did hook him up each time with a new one, it was under warranty obvi,
