I found a massive deal on a Lib Tech TRS 159 for around $300 including shipping, which is awesome. However, I was really trying to snag a 157... so I don't really know if its going to be too big. I'm around 5'8" 170lbs, I've been riding a 156 for the last few years, mostly freeride, some park and starting to get more into park (which is primarily why I have qualms about going to a 159). I've actually never ridden anything bigger than a 157 so I don't know if I would really be able to tell the difference.

I don't think it will be a huge difference, but 159 is probably bigger than you'd idealy want for mostly park riding. I highly doubt you ride a 159 and feel like "holly crap I can't turn this thing!" but you might find the flex a little stiffer than desired since it's bigger.
I guess it depends on how picky you want to be versus getting a good deal. |
