burton joystick? - Snowboarding Forum

i hear a lot on this board for freestyle...but is it good for all mountain too? i'm advanced begineer to intermediate looking for an all mountain board, that can do a little freestyle too (just starting). i like the v rocker fell standing on it and how the board seems soft, but i wish i could demo it...any advice? (oh yeah...i live on the ice coast)

For your level it'll be fine for all mountain. It's one of their boards I like in the park or just riding around the mountain having fun.

Joystick is a pure rocker, I'd stay away from that and go with a rocker/camber hybrid if i were you looking for an all-mountain board. I rode a flying V last year and it sucked balls on ice, burton's V rocker is going to be worse. I'd say Custom flying V or sherlock if it's gotta be a burton

Doesn't have to be Burton...what about the ride antic? (I'm comparing the few boards that are on sale at the local shop)

I've got a buddy that really likes Ride, I've ridden his concept but have no experience with the antic. Any lib techs at your shop? I hear magnatraction is the real deal, i think gnu has it too

Great board. Very fun. Only drawback was high speeds, other than that it is a solid choice.

The Antic doesn't compare. For me though I didn't like the Joystick at all. I prefered the Easy Livin Flyin V. The Joystick for me was to hard to get the pop I wanted for some reason. Maybe look at the 2012 Hero? It gets Squeezebox most likely making it a lot more mountain capable.

The Joystick was hard to get pop? Wow that's a surprise to hear. I loved the pop and playfulness of the Joystick.
